Rev Judith Watkins – Children & Family Ministry Coordinator

Judith comes to the role of Children and Family Ministry Co-ordinator after 15 years in parish ministry.  During that time, she’s taught CRE in local primary schools, helped plan and run Kid’s Clubs, been involved with pre-schools and playgroups, and developed “Fun at Five” services,  which have incorporated elements of both Messy Church and Godly Play stories and involved people of all ages in learning and sharing together.  Her training and experience in Godly Play have led her to reading widely about the spirituality of children.  She is committed to exploring ways of providing opportunities for children to give voice to what they already know and understand about God, and see children and adults alike as both learners and teachers, travelling the road of life and faith together. Judith’s goal is to work alongside the congregation and the College as we seek to provide opportunities for children and their families to encounter the life-changing love of God. Judith can be contacted at St. Leonard’s  on (03) 9592 9333 or email
